Customise menu

This page lets you change our menu's behaviour to suit your preferences and save the settings for use in your next visit. These settings apply to all occurrences of the menu, e.g. to the site's main menu and to the web usability course menu.

Your preferences take effect next time you move to another page or do something which changes the number of items the menu displays, e.g. open / close all folders or a specific folder.

Please note that browsers can only save a limited amount of information like this and it may be overwritten if you visit many other sites which ask your browser to save information before you re-visit ours.

Preferences set OK!
You can close this window, or you can keep it open if you want to experiment with other settings.
Close all folders except the last one clicked
Keep current page's folder open even if you click another folder or the "close all folders" button
(overrides "Close all folders except the last one clicked")
Automatically scroll to the last page / folder you clicked if the menu's contents change, e.g. if you click the 'open all folders' or 'close all folders' button

To save your preferences we need to save a cookie.

Please allow your browser to save cookies permanently, so that your preferences can be saved for your next visit.

If you allow your browser to save persistent cookies, we can save your preferences ready for your next visit.

If you allow your browser to save per-session cookies but not persistent cookies, your preferences will last as long as you keep your browser open (even if you leave this site and then return) but will be lost when you close your browser.

If you do not allow your browser to save cookies at all, you cannot set preferences and the menu will use its default settings.

We will not use this cookie to save anything except your menu settings, and will not pass this information to anyone (not even to ourselves!).
